A nice housey track with that much more to it then just the 4/4 beat; Theo Parrish & Waajeed, “Leave The Funk To Us”
Theo Parrish & Waajeed – Leave The Funk To Us (Raw Mix)
Have a blast boys & girls!
Just picked up on
James Brandon Lewis Trio
featuring Anthony Pirog and Nicholas Ryan Gant (aka @ghetto_falsetto). Kind of mellow-y, which I’m not always into, but duet of Lewis’ tenor-sax and the Gant’s falsetto scatting makes for a great mix, keeping the feeling fresh and real.
And if you want to something more in-your-face;
have a go at “No Filter” by the same trio
. Just tenor-sax, bass & drums, but you’ll be headbanging as if you were on the front-row of a metal-festival.
September 2016 was an extremely busy month, so I just realized I didn’t even take the time to contemplate the magic of
the most beautiful month in the world
. Did a quick scroll through
my YouTube favorites
and my most recent Shazams and Andy Schauf makes me feel most Septemberish:
Andy Shauf: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert
Enjoy the last hours of this beautiful month!
Burt Bacharach! Aretha Franklin! Dionne Warwick! My Best Friends Wedding (with the lobster gloves)! And now also Lianne La Havas, live, solo with the public singing background-vocals. Goosebumps!
Lianne La Havas – Say A Little Prayer @ De La Warr Pavillion, Bexhill 12/03/16
Massive Attack joined forces with
to deliver (yet) a(nother) haunting song. The video features something familiar for those longing for the Massive Attack of yore …
